Pastor Randy Cosner

I grew up in Mt. Storm, WV.   Graduated from Union High School and Potomac State College.   I have an industrial management degree.  I married Christy Woods in 1981 and we have 3 grown sons, Aaron,  Joel,  and Matthew.   We have 3 grandchildren, Austin,   Ailah,  and Archer.   I worked at Allegheny Mining Corp for 11 years as an equipment welder and WV Dept of Highways District 5 for 6 years.   I pastored the Danville Church of the Brethren in Rawlings, MD for 8 years and the Briery Branch Church of the Brethren in Dayton, VA full time for 26 years.   I have traveled to Haiti 5 times and directed the West Marva District Youth Camp for 7 years.  I also was a part-time truck driver for Beam Brothers Trucking for 22 years.

I have been very active in other activities including serving on the board of Grace Mission to Haiti and also the Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center.   I served on the Shenandoah District Board and was chairman of the District Ministry Commision for 4 years.   I served one 3 year term on Standing Committee prior to Annual Conference.  I also served on a committee to address concerns with the Brethren Benefit Trust Health Insurance.

I have interests in foriegn missions and also working locally to help people in needs of various kinds.  My heart is in pastoring and look forward to many years ahead as God gives me strength and health.
